Did you know Starbucks doesn’t just do coffee? Well of course you do (or if you didn’t you do now). Starbucks have all sorts of products that need ingredients to make, and our bespoke software, with our snazzy 5quad barcoding system, allows them to purchase exactly what ingredients they need, manage the production and then send them to their depots. Exciting stuff eh?
Comcored’s effective Stock Management Software combined with 5Quad delivers real time monitoring of deliveries, despatch and stock levels through an easy-to-use and customizable GUI.
By drawing on over 100 years of combined warehouse operative experience, Comcored was able to create a system that can include all of the options your business could require, including: event management; web visibility; execution management; time and attendance; scheduling; learning management; inventory statistics and much more...
Marks and Spencer use our 5Quad barcoding software and production software within their food production facilities in Essex. They can monitor exactly how much stock they hold within their distribution centres, what they have picked and predicted pickings based on our forecasting. They can even monitor ingredients usage and returns using our software – all with our pretty little graphs and complicated reports that we pretend to understand.
This pretty advert from Natwest for their business department didn’t fit on the A4 page that they required, nor as a web advert, so a little bit of Photoshop manipulation from the Comcored team and their lives were put at ease. Just to make it clear here we didn’t design the advert, we just manipulated it.
The Meclia Videogame Championships provides the opportunity for gamers to prove themselves the best in their area. Games are organised into 13-week leagues, with cup competitions, with the winners receiving cash prizes. We produced a website with a CMS for the team to update the site with whatever they want, whenever they want.

Delhi Grill is London’s number one Indian canteen takeaway, featuring traditional dishes cooked according to the customary recipe with no short-cuts or stir-in sauces.
Brothers Preet and Aman Grewal needed a website that reflected the brothers’ vision for the Delhi Grill, but with a difference, so they turned to Comcored and Design by Tangerine.
We ended up creating a contemporary horizontal site containing all of the canteen and takeaway information on one large page (including a stunning jquery blog). The website also features beautiful scrolling navigation, fantastic photos from the canteen itself and continuous Comcored site and email management.
Nuts!!!!
Yogurt covered nuts!!!
No we haven’t developed a form of nutty related touretts but instead we’re talking about what our production, purchasing and 5Quad software allowed Pret A Manger to have delivered to their, albeit rather large, door.
Check them out in store now, they’re scrumptious – almost worth skipping Plane Food in Terminal 5 for.
We began our project at Eat Natural by learning the ideology of the brand and production techniques with their world famous Makery. We implemented various Comcored created IT computer systems that automated repetitive tasks, managed warehouse dispatches and automatically produced purchasing reports based on actual and estimated future usage.
We also created their website and acted like an immature, yet likable, younger brother by pigging out on their delicious bars!!!
The Comcored team completed the new website for The Writers’ Room by modifying a design produced by their team . A fantastic duo who have worked with some spectacular companies including Smirnoff and Champneys (freebies… of course not).

I’ve just got back from checking out all of the latest gadgets and technology in Tokyo. They are definitely leaps and bounds ahead of us when it comes to embracing technology, but this in turn has led to an ever increasing influx in individual gadgets for every task, unlike the smartphone app culture we have began to develop over here. What way is correct and what would you prefer? I personally prefer having my smartphone on me for all of the social media updates and then stopping at a coffee shop with my laptop to update the sites etc… I love the idea of the more gadgets the better!
We had the pleasure of having a visit from the guys at FreeingUpSpace.com today. We’ve been designing them so new business cards and couldn’t resist the opportunity to show off the new Design Studio as the handover took place. If you have some B2B office furniture to get rid of then these are the guys to contact. If you’d like to follow them on Twitter their page can be found
here.
We had the marvellous
Wayne Collier pop into the Design Studio today and what a hoot he is! I’ll spare you the details of what went but, if you’ve not met Wayne yet then you are probably not on Twitter or Facebook because this guy is the king of the social media world, so get in touch with him… and if you have met him, then I’m sure he’d like to go for coffee anyway (he’s just like that).
We are delighted to have moved out of Martin’s spare bedroom and into our own fully functioning offices at Publishing House, 119 Newland Street. Everything is a little up in the air at the moment, for example we are still waiting for a phone line to be put in so keep that in mind when you leave a message on the answer phone (Martin needs to get home, check the message and then ring you back the next day). If you get five minutes then call Martin on his mobile, 07843 555 375, and pop up for a coffee and chitchat.
Comcored is...
a Witham, Essex based media company providing websites, magazines, news and other new-media projects to the local area and community. At our core Comcored is a contemporary publisher with principles of bringing current affairs to our audience's attention through unbiased and visual reports.
This is done through a constant stream of up-to-date news and varying media on the senses. We believe access to our products should be available to as many people as possible and have found that by finding advertising solutions within our products we are able to expand our audience without raising prices. Dedication to becoming key media operatives within the local area means giving considerable focus to graphic design, flexible advertising solutions, and, most importantly, up to date and groundbreaking media content.
Martin White says...
When I think back to my childhood I remember the other children imagining themselves as footballers or rock stars; whilst I dreamed of running my own media company. I wanted to combine the joy and tingling feeling I got from literature and graphic design with ideas of my own. As I grew older and pursued an education the dream became a passion.
I followed the careers of the great media moguls (both fictional and real) and tailored my University life and work experience in a direction that would allow me to be immersed in the media culture and provide a reference point for my aspirations.
